❄️ Winter Weather Update – Limited Access Remains in Effect ❄️
🕗 Access Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM daily (office hours will be normal)
🚫 Gates will be locked from 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
This schedule allows staff to:
- Safely assess each location in daylight hours
- Verify that gates, motors, tracks, and safety equipment are functioning properly
- Reduce the risk of injury or property damage during overnight refreezing
Conditions at the facilities remain largely unchanged, and limited access hours of 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM remain in effect. While sunshine is helping during daytime hours, overnight temperatures continue to drop below freezing, causing refreezing each evening and early morning.
📍 Current Conditions at the Facility 1/30 8am
- Current temperature: 28°F (feels like 17°F)
- Parking lot and drive aisles remain icy
- South-facing sides of buildings are beginning to clear
- North-facing units and buildings are not clearing due to lack of sunlight
- Some outside units may have snow or ice buildup in front of the door, which may prevent roll-up doors from being raised safely
⚠️ If you do not need immediate access to your unit, we strongly encourage postponing your visit.
If you must come to the facility:
- Use extreme caution when driving and walking
- Do not force unit doors that appear frozen or blocked
- Ensure your unit door and all climate-controlled building doors are fully closed after use
🔒 Important Reminder:
For past-due accounts, overlock removal may be delayed during inclement weather until conditions allow for staff safety. Locks, latches, gates, and equipment may remain frozen due to extreme cold. Limited access remains in place so staff can safely assess property conditions and equipment during daylight hours. Updates will continue to be posted as long as staff is safely able.

- Friday: Very cold and mostly cloudy with highs near 29–31°F and lows around 12–15°F. Precipitation chances are low during the day; however, a wintry mix (snow/sleet/freezing rain) is possible Friday night as temperatures remain below freezing.
- Saturday: Very cold with highs in the mid-20s and lows in the single digits to teens. While precipitation chances are low, any moisture could fall as snow or sleet due to extremely cold air.

I truly LOVE Storage Town in Germantown!! I have several Units there and Property managers, Shirley and Christine who are now like family, made the whole process as easy as possible!! I have been having my units there for several months now and it truly has been such a great experience that I really don’t want to ever switch storage facilities ever again! It’s is truly a night and day experience vs when I had my storage over at E.S. which really sucked and they kept going up on prices every time you sneezed. Storage Towne of America, Shelby Drive Location is a 5 Star Storage Units Facility. My Son occupies a unit here under the Leadership of Chris and Susan! They are truly a great asset, presenting friendly personality and professionalism to all that comes in contact with them. Since Chris and Susan have been at the Shelby Drive location. They have both been very helpful in assisting me with my concerns. When you walk in to pay your bill, it’s a very friendly hello and warm and welcoming smile. I would highly recommend this location because of the staff and their professionalism and love for their customers.
